The $120,000 Banana

This banana taped to a wall recently sold for $120,000 at an art show in Miami Beach. The piece is by artist Maurizio Cattelan and is titled "Comediad." There's been a lot of controversy online about this piece--with many people noting how a child could make it, or how artists spend years honing their craft and never sell pieces for this much money. Even more recently, a performance artist named David Datuna peeled the banana off the wall in the exhibit and ate it--leading to the piece being removed from the gallery.
