Balenciaga Sofa

This piece was born from an official collaboration between designer Harry Nuriev and the Balenciaga brand. The sofa is created entirely from Balenciaga discards/unsellable items. Nuriev has worked with Balenciaga items before--creating a Balenciaga-themed office just last year. In this piece, Nuriev aimed to create a mix between nostalgia and modern feelings. He does this by using mostly primary colors, but also by creating an overarching sense of disorder in the sofa. He explained how he wanted the piece to resemble the colorful, messy pile of clothes that builds up on bedroom floors. But of course, the garments are all expensive, designer clothes.
