Drawing with Light?

The camera's shutter speed is often adjusted to take take quick, stop-motion photos that in a way freeze movement. However, the opposite can be done, and is done, with light painting. By slowing down the shutter speed, a long-exposure photograph can be taken as a light-source is moved to create an array of light movements that often complements a standstill figure in that very photo.
