Can you paint what you hear? How synesthesia helps to create art!
Synesthesia, the very neurological condition that allows a person to perceive a certain stimulus in the form of multiple senses at once, is helping some artists translate what they hear and smell onto the canvas. Well known artists such as Vincent Van Gough, as well as musician billy Joel and controversial writer Vladimir Nabokov were synesthetes themselves.
